Curio Collection by Hilton is to relaunch Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach this autumn.
The all-suite resort in Oxnard, California is set to reopen fully transformed after a multi-million-dollar restoration.
A locally inspired transformation
Southern California’s only all-suite oceanfront resort, Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach is preparing to re-launch this autumn as a part of the Curio Collection by Hilton portfolio. The hotel is accepting reservations for stays starting on October 1.
The Spanish Hacienda-style resort formerly known as Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Resort places guests in a prime location between Malibu and Santa Barbara and a short drive up the scenic California Gold Coast from Los Angeles.
The newly designed property will reflect the surrounding natural beauty and connection to the ocean.
“Our hotel’s transformation embraces comfort, ignites senses and harmonises with nature, offering a welcoming oasis of unexpected experiences,” said Ben Ly, general manager of the hotel. “Zachari Dunes truly reflects SoCal effortless sophistication with Spanish-inspired architecture, sugary dunes and the glow of the California sun.”
A newly curated experience
The hotel’s all-suite accommodation will be joined by shared spaces including the Ox & Ocean restaurant, which is to offer refined cuisine and cocktails taking inspiration from the bounty of Oxnard Plain and its coastal waters.
The Sugar Beats converted Airstream trailer will then provide locally roasted coffee, locally crafted beers and canned cocktails with California inspired food.
Curating guest experiences, Henry’s Sundries and Gear Rental will offer equipment for activities ranging from cycling to water sports. More than 23,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space, including the Playa Vista Lawn, is then set aside for events.
