The Latin American company launches Selina NQ1 Manchester in the heart of the city’s lively Northern Quarter.
Selina has now opened a U.K. hotel in Manchester, doing so with the launch of Selina NQ1 Manchester.
A happening hotel in a happening part of town
The property is in the heart of the city’s lively Northern Quarter and comes with a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, Irish pub and a basement club.
In addition, the new property also features 37 stylishly-designed private rooms, suites and shared rooms.
This marks the first U.K. location for the Latin American start-up, and it reflects the brand’s over-arching love of community spirit and creative vibes.
It boasts a beautiful set of accommodations, excellent food, co-working spaces, wellness experiences and more, all of which creates an electric atmosphere that aims to bring together both locals and visitors.
Selina’s Head of Country UK, Erwin de Jong Oliveira said, “Being able to bring Selina to Manchester is such an exciting opportunity, we wanted to blend Selina’s Latin American roots with the rich history of Manchester to infuse the aesthetics together and provide a hub for digital nomads around the world.”
The Selina NQ1 Manchester’s design
The Selina NQ1 Manchester is specially designed to reflect the city’s creative spirit.
As such, its interior designers have worked closely with local artists and the nearby community to source the artwork and materials which represent Manchester’s rich local talent.
Each of the 37 rooms on the grounds has a quirky Latin American twist, which offers something new and unique in Manchester.
All told, the property has 132 beds in a range of categories, including airy lofts, suites, standard and micro-sized double rooms and community shared rooms designed for between three and eight guests — one of which is an all-female option.
Prices start from £25 – £70 per person / per night, depending on the room category chosen.
Amenities at the Selina NQ1 Manchester
Selina properties put social spaces at the heart of their concepts which makes the new Manchester hotel perfect for hosting curated weekly programmes that include electrifying musical performances, engaging workshops and unique pop-ups all year long.
In addition, the first restaurant to open there will be Wilson’s Social, which is named after the British record label owner, Tony Wilson, who is fondly known as Mr. Manchester.
The venue celebrates the Northern Quarter’s vibrant music scene, combining it with Selina’s exciting international menu.
Dishes range from mouth-watering agave & jalapeno glazed chicken wings to black pepper tofu with marinated watermelon and cucumber, as well as lemon and saffron chicken kebab flatbreads and pan-fried sea bass fillets with whipped avocado.
Expect world-inspired breakfast and brunch dishes each weekday and weekend morning.
Dining options include spicy shakshuka and huevos rancheros sitting alongside the ever-popular smashed avocado on sourdough and Selina’s world-famous banana bread with crème fraiche, cinnamon syrup, blueberries & mint.
With all it offers, the new Selina adds up to being one of the most exciting new properties in Manchester in many years.
