The dream of spending time in a royal abode is about to come true at the Langham Nymphenburg Residences in Munich.

Guests dreaming of walking in the footsteps of royals and experiencing the lavish luxury of Europe’s palaces needn’t look any further.

From winter 2019, The Langham Nymphenburg Residences in Munich, Germany will let guests do exactly that.

The Langham comes to Munich

Langham Hospitality Group recently announced that it will manage The Langham Nymphenburg Residence, which is set close to Munich’s city centre, in the heart of the 490-acre estate of Nymphenburg Palace.

The property, part of a former royal residence, is deeply connected to Bavarian history and bear witness to this at every turn.

“We are delighted to expand our footprint in Europe and introduce our luxury brand to the beautiful city of Munich,” says Stefan Leser, chief executive officer of Langham Hospitality Group.

“The Langham Hotels and Resorts collection combines luxury lifestyle and service with some of the finest properties in the world. The fact that The Langham Nymphenburg is a residence emphasizes the diversity of our growing portfolio, and it is a wonderful addition to our group of luxury hotels in major cities such as New York, London, Shanghai, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Chicago.”

For those who love the beautiful things in life

This beautiful 18th-century manor is set close to the Royal Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory which has been known for its exquisite avant-garde and tailor-made designs since 1747.

For art lovers, the connection to the porcelain manufactory will be one of the hotel’s highlights. Even the uninitiated will undoubtedly appreciate learning more about the centuries-old process and strict ‘hand-made only rule’ applied here.

Their dedication to avoiding any automated production techniques and relying solely on the know-how and experience of their master craftspeople has led to the Royal Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory creating some of the world’s most revered porcelain masterpieces.

Many of these will be exhibited around the Langham so guests can enjoy the beautiful pieces designed in collaboration with some of the world’s leading artists and fashion designers including Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood.

The Langham embodies this dedication to the elegant and beautiful, creating a living tribute to artistry and craftsmanship guests can enjoy throughout the property.

“We find the commitment to craftsmanship and beauty embodied by the Royal Nymphenburg Porcelain artisans together with the royal grandeur of the Palace and the legendary hospitality of The Langham Hotels and Resorts will create a wonderful private retreat for our guests looking for that exceptional holiday experience,” Mr Leser explains.

“The level of personalization will be second to none. And whether it’s a multi-generational trip, a reunion with friends or coming together for a wedding, The Langham Nymphenburg Residence will lend the perfect setting for celebratory moments.”

The residence will feature four bedrooms, three living rooms, two wine cellars, seven bathrooms, a home cinema, an elevator and a dining room that seats 12 people comfortably. A terrace overlooking the sprawling palace gardens completes the property.

Munich-based interior design firm Mang Mauritz richly appointed the Langham with custom-made furniture and carefully chosen textiles and fixtures which evoke the manor’s regal past.

A new type of property for a growing brand

Mr. Leser commented about the decision to manage a private residence saying: “It was the result of a deliberate evolution on our expansion strategy and our core belief of being in the high-touch luxury business remains intact.”

“The Langham Nymphenburg Residence will provide the services and amenities of a luxury hotel stay with the personalized touches of a private home. Our guests will have ample space, privacy and exclusivity, alongside the full complement of The Langham signature services in a beautiful regal setting.”
