The highly anticipated Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia Hotel, brought to life by a team that includes Linda Snyder Associates and AO Architects, has debuted after a three-year build.

This 234-room hotel seamlessly translates Le Méridien’s European heritage to Southern California, with cues taken from the brand’s signature mid-century modern aesthetic.

A connection to the locale

Owner SAICP created Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia Hotel, which boasts a sophisticated yet playful equestrian-chic ambience, in partnership with Linda Snyder Associates and AO Architects, while the scheme is managed by Pacifica Hotels. The property’s 234 thoughtfully designed rooms and suites are joined by over 14,000 sq ft of event space, an outdoor heated pool and impressive F&B facilities.

“We are thrilled to finally welcome guests to our metropolitan oasis and unlock the destination through creative and cultured guest experiences,” said Mr Shen, owner of SAICP. “Built with a designer’s eye and stylish spirit, Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia provides guests with a destination where moments of delight and discovery elevate their stay.”

The property, which has opened to the public following a three-year build programme, is embracing Le Méridien’s Unlock Art programme by partnering with Santa Anita Park to offer behind-the-scenes access to this famous racetrack and its historic halls.

“We’re excited to be engaged with the Arcadia community and are already working on more exciting collaborations with our neighbours to further showcase all there is to unlock in the local area,” said Matt Marquis, CEO at Pacifica Hotels. “From Santa Anita Park to art to shopping, Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia looks forward to enticing guests with captivating experiences.”

An art-filled lifestyle venue

This new hotel is home to the restaurant Mélange, presenting the Asian-European cuisine of executive chef Mako, and Le Scoop by Le Méridien, serving up European-inspired gelatos and sorbets. These are complemented by the inclusion of grand bar Longitude 118, which offers signature apéritifs and ‘petit plates’ alongside a high tea and highballs cocktail programme.

The property’s 14,000 sq ft of meeting and event space encompasses five separate rooms, including three for private dining, along with 1,800 sq ft of pre function space and a sprawling event lawn. The ballroom here comes with floor-to-ceiling glass walls, doors opening out onto the lawn and views of the nearby racetrack.

As well as offering 24-hour in-room dining options, the hotel will provide poolside delivery and dining experiences at the outdoor pool.

The public space throughout is lifted by a host of art installations, curated by local consultancy Daniel Fine Art, including works by the likes of Ron Dier Design, Serge Bloch, David Ellis and William Attaway. There’s also a signature scent, developed by Malin+Goetz, and a signature soundtrack, courtesy of French bossa nova band Nouvelle Vague.
