Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ La Quinta brand is continuing to expand at pace with the addition of two new properties in Turkey.

Despite the current global health crisis, Wyndham appears determined to keep growing its already impressive collection of properties by further expanding the La Quinta brand.

We find out more about the latest additions to its inventory.

La Quinta grows presence outside the Americas

The 404-room La Quinta by Wyndham Istanbul Gunseli was the first hotel under this brand to launch outside the Americas, and it has now been joined by two more Turkish properties. The New Jersey-based hotel company has just announced that the 86-room La Quinta by Wyndham Giresun and the 175-room La Quinta by Wyndham Bodrum are being added to its portfolio.

The Giresun property boasts panoramic views of the Black Sea, a well-rounded F&B offering, and recreational facilities including an outdoor pool, fitness centre, Turkish bath and sauna. It opened in June 2020.

In Bodrum, meanwhile, guests can enjoy seascape views from a rooftop bar or dine in the two onsite venues; an outdoor pool, sauna and fitness centre also offer plenty of scope to stay fit while on the road, and its versatile event space looks ideal for business travellers and event planners. It is scheduled to open in July.

More international properties announced for La Quinta

After Wyndham acquired La Quinta in May of 2018, the hotel franchising company immediately began planning the brand’s international expansion. Since then, 55 new La Quinta hotels have opened globally and many more projects are in the pipeline.

Earlier in 2020, Wyndham announced two projects in New Zealand, which will mark the brand’s arrival into APAC. Plus in 2019, plans for eight properties in the Dominican Republic were revealed, four of which are already being developed. They will complement La Quinta’s current portfolio of 14 hotels in Latin America.

“When La Quinta joined the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts family, we saw strong potential to expand the brand internationally and we are delighted to see its continued growth in Europe and around the world,” said Dimitris Manikis, president, EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “These exciting properties on Turkey’s charming coastline support our growth ambition and perfectly complement our other offerings in the market.”

La Quinta offers comfortable, attractive rooms at exceptional prices in the best locations around.
