Kimpton Harper Hotel to open in June
Featuring the signature of designer Cynthia Forchielli of Forchielli Glynn, Kimpton Harper Hotel will launch in June 2021 within a historic building in Fort Worth, Texas.
The completion of this reimagination of a 1921-built property, handily located just steps away from Sundance Square Plaza, will coincide with its 100th anniversary.
The transformation of a landmark
Memphis-based Development Services Group oversaw the conversion of this building after acquiring it from XTO Energy. The architectural landmark was originally built as the headquarters for Farmer’s and Mechanics Bank.
In its new era as a hotel, the property will be managed by Pivot, the lifestyle operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group.
Cynthia Forchielli of Forchielli Glynn designed the 226 guestrooms and suites with relaxed sophistication in mind, incorporating handcrafted furnishings and local art. There are also subtle nods to Fort Worth throughout, not least the panther figurines in the closets, referencing its Panther City nickname.
Space to socialise, work and unwind
Indeed, the onsite accommodation is filled with thoughtful design details and luxury amenities, including Frette bedding, Atelier Bloem bath products, Bluetooth speaker systems and plush bathrobes. The 31 suites also offer soaking tubs, wet bars and views of downtown Fort Worth and the surrounding plains. During their stay, guests can make the most of 24-hour check-in, complimentary tea and coffee, a social hour in the living room lobby, and the fitness centre – featuring high-quality equipment like Peloton bikes.
Contemporary Italian cuisine is served at Il Modo, with dishes like house-made pasta and wood-fired pizza produced with seasonality and sustainability in mind. The thoughtful wine list is joined by cocktails built around Italian classics, and private dining is available, along with pasta-making classes. Adding to this culinary experience, the hotel’s penthouse whisky bar and cocktail lounge Refinery 714 offers drinks and elevated bar bites with a striking view from up on the 24th floor; this space also houses a private dining room.
Finally, the 24th-floor Sanquinet Boardroom and 2nd-floor Centurion Ballroom, along with meeting rooms and spaces for gatherings of all kinds, make up the hotel’s 10,000 sq ft event space offering.
Kimpton Harper Hotel will make its debut in early June 2021.
