KALDEWEI has won two 2022 Red Dot Awards for its outstanding product design: The premium bathroom manufacturer received the coveted design award at the gala event for the Red Dot Design Week in Essen, for its SUPERPLAN ZERO floor-level shower surface and for the NUEVA washbowl. NUEVA received the “Best of the Best” award. For KALDEWEI, the double award is a confirmation of the fundamental corporate philosophy of combining high-quality design, functionality, sustainability and quality in a single product. Both products were designed by the Star Designer Werner Aisslinger.

The jury only awards the the most exceptional products in the “Best of the Best” category. The jury said of the NUEVA washbowl that it was “impressively characterised by a very thin rim. Its design brings all the elements together in precise proportions. Its pure and unadulterated appearance achieves a calming effect in the room. The special steel enamel is used in an authentic way to present this product with a poetic approach. The colour scheme, which also includes matt finishes, is also inspiring.”
KALDEWEI SUPERPLAN ZERO combines comfort and aesthetics
The enamelled SUPERPLAN ZERO shower surface was designed by Werner Aisslinger and convinced the international jury: “Due to the ability to tile directly up to the KALDEWEI shower surface, it offers elegant aesthetics and a high level of luxury and is extremely user-friendly.:” The shower surface is installed flush with the bathroom floor and the waste placed close to the wall which ensures comfort when standing and safe movement. The shower surface, designed with elegant and precise lines, can be accessed from three sides without a step. The base for this is sustainable, particularly durable and 100 percent recyclable steel enamel.
