The THP research team has been busy this month inputting over 160 new entries in the database, and here we profile three of the latest hotels to keep a watching brief on.

These major new projects span Asia, Africa and North America and represent segments from serviced suites to convention centre sites.

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok Thonglor

Pan Pacific Hotels Group, a member of Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited, is planning a new luxury development in Thai capital, Bangkok, with Metro-Ply Family of Companies. Located in the central Thonglor district, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok is slated to open in Q1 2026.

The property sits in a prime quarter of Bangkok, at the convergence of lifestyle and business. Residents in Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok will be near cafes and roasteries, rooftop bars, shopping centres and Thong Lo BTS Skytrain Station.

The luxurious 34-storey building will be designed by Leo Design Group, the architects behind creations including sky-dining CHAR Bangkok and Santiburi The Residences. Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok will comprise 191 suites furnished by Hong Kong-based firm NIB Creation, with level 14 dedicated to leisure spaces including a pool, poolside restaurant and bar, outdoor gardens, fitness centre, wet spa and residents’ lounge.

Aldiana Club Sharm El Naga

As part of an expansion strategy, club tour operator Aldiana Club Resorts is growing its portfolio with a new resort in Egypt. Aldiana Club Sharm El Naga will open in Q2 2024.

Less than a five-hour flight from the brand’s German home market, the  new addition to the Aldiana family is being built in Sharm El Naga, south of Hurghada.  With direct beach access, the large resort, with more than 350 rooms, will offer club guests a diverse variety of activities across a 260,000 sq m area.

The newbuild resort promises particularly high-quality club holidays with a modern ambience on the Red Sea – precisely tailored to Aldiana travellers’ wishes and with a wide range of offers for families.

Omni Raleigh Hotel

Omni Hotels & Resorts, in partnership with Preston Hollow Community Capital and Provident Resources Group, is developing a convention hotel in the core of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

The dynamic addition to the Raleigh skyline will be built on an over one-acre plot across from the Raleigh Convention Center and Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. Expected to open in 2027, Omni Raleigh Hotel will be a notable  addition to the chain’s growing portfolio of over 50 luxury hotels.

This will be the third Omni property in the state of North Carolina and the first for the capital city. The hotel is anticipated to include 550 guestrooms and 55,000 sq ft of meeting space, which will allow for larger events to take place downtown and support the growth of the Raleigh Convention Center expansion. The hotel will also feature several food and beverage outlets, a rooftop pool, a signature Mokara spa and a fitness centre.
