IHG and Shin-Osaka Hospitality GK, an affiliate company of Pacifica Capital KK, have signed a franchise agreement to launch Holiday Inn & Suites Shin Osaka on 1 October 2020.

An all-day dining offering will add to the convenience of Holiday Inn & Suites Osaka

IHG and Shin-Osaka Hospitality GK, an affiliate company of Pacifica Capital KK, have signed a franchise agreement to launch Holiday Inn & Suites Shin Osaka on 1 October 2020.

With 126 of its 185 rooms featuring a condo-style kitchen, dining room and laundry rooms, Holiday Inn & Suites Osaka will be the first Holiday Inn property in Japan to offer a suites product. We take a look at the soon-to-debut property.

Designed for comfort and convenience

Offering comfort as well as convenience for both business and family travellers, the new hotel encompasses suites ranging from 30 to 45 sq m in size, alongside standard rooms designed to accommodate one to two guests. This diverse accommodation offering enables it to cater to long-term residents as well as those looking for shorter stays.

All-day dining, meeting space, fitness facilities and ample parking add to the widespread appeal of this property characterised by its modern decor and bright open space. The new hotel’s location within walking distance of the gateway to much of Japan, Shin-Osaka Station, also makes it the ideal base for travellers seeking easy access to the rest of the country by Shinkansen.

Continued growth for the Holiday Inn brand

Holiday Inn is the world’s largest brand family, with more than 4,100 worldwide under the Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express flag, offering the Joy of Travel and warmhearted service since 1952,” said Abhijay Sandilya, vice president development for Australia, Japan and Pacific. “The opening of Holiday Inn & Suites Shin Osaka will provide travellers to Osaka with more choices and convenience, with the ability to choose from standard hotel rooms to spacious suites, which are so highly valued by guests. We are proud to start working with Pacifica Capital KK and Shin-Osaka Hospitality GK and look forward to building a long-term partnership.”

Seth Sulkin, CEO of Pacifica Capital KK and Shin-Osaka Hospitality GK, added: “We are excited to introduce Japan’s first Holiday Inn with a suites offering with this wonderful property and look forward to strong distribution from IHG’s loyal members and developing a broader relationship with IHG.”

Holiday Inn & Suites Shin Osaka will be the second Holiday Inn to open in Japan in 2020 following the July opening of Holiday Inn Resort Shinano Omachi Kuroyon. IHG now brands or operates 34 hotels in Japan under the (ANA) InterContinental, (ANA) Crowne Plaza, (ANA) Holiday Inn and Hotel Indigo brands.

Holiday Inn offers today’s business and leisure travellers dependability, friendly service and modern, attractive facilities at excellent value.
