Both properties, managed and operated by Brown Hotels, will feature several restaurants and bars, and multiple swimming pools, with striking design throughout each area.

Brand growth in Greece

Isla Brown Chania and Isla Brown Corinthia, both opening under a franchise agreement with Hilton under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand, will provide two distinct resort experiences in two different areas of Greece: the Athens Riviera and Crete.

“Hilton is focused on our continued growth in Greece, with plans to triple our presence in the coming years,” said Alan Mantin, Managing Director, Development, Southern Europe, Hilton. “The popularity of resort hotels, both with owners and guests, has helped us to enter new destinations across the region.”

“We’re thrilled to start our cooperation with Brown Hotels, who will manage and operate the hotels, to bring these fantastic properties into our portfolio and welcome guests later this year. In the last five years alone, we’ve doubled our portfolio of hotels at resorts in Europe, Middle East and Africa, now with almost 80 hotels, and owner demand in markets like Greece is contributing significantly to our growth in this segment.”

Leon Avigad, Founder and Co-Owner of Brown Hotels said: “We’re excited to partner with Hilton to open Isla Brown Chania Resort and Isla Brown Corinthia Resort and Spa under the Curio Collection by Hilton brand.”

“Isla Brown Chania Resort and Isla Brown Corinthia Resort and Spa will offer an unparalleled guest experience in time for the 2024 summer season and as we introduce more guest rooms at both properties, we look forward to sharing that experience with more visitors to Chania and Corinthia, through our partnership with Hilton and its Curio Collection.”

Two distinct resort experiences

Isla Brown Corinthia Resort & Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton will host guests a one-hour drive from Greece’s capital city on the Athens Riviera. The resort’s 166 guest rooms, each with a balcony, will overlook the Saronic Gulf.

Highlights of this resort will include a rooftop bar with sun loungers and firepits, a taverna, buffet restaurant, lobby bar, and pool bar. The resort will have two swimming pools, a spa and fitness centre, and immediate access to a private beach, as well as event space for up to 400 guests.

Ancient Greek mythology provides the inspiration for the design of this hotel. Elastic Architects earned the ‘Gold’ architecture prize in the ‘Hotels & Resorts’ category by the International Design Awards 2022 for this resort’s design concept, which combines a clean and contemporary aesthetic with playful design elements.

In Crete, Isla Brown Chania Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton will then accommodate guests in 148 guest rooms, all with balconies or terraces with sea or garden views, with 53 additional rooms also on the horizon. For its design, the hotel draws on the natural world, with wood and fibre elements used alongside lush greenery throughout.

The hotel is home to an abundance of guest amenities, from its three outdoor pools, spa and fitness centre, to its a la carte Cretan restaurant, buffet restaurant, terrace bar, pool bar, food truck by the sea, and picturesque sea deck.

The hotel is located on Crete’s northern coast, 15km from Chania city and with easy access to both Chania Airport and Chania Port.
