Aimbridge Hospitality’s international division Interstate Hotels & Resorts has been named as the management company for an Atellior and Dexter Moren Associates-designed Tribe scheme.

Tribe’s inaugural property in England has taken a major step forward.

Stylish airport accommodation

Owned by H3 Hotels, the newbuild Tribe Manchester Airport is currently under construction, and expected to begin welcoming guests in 2023. Interstate has now been awarded the management contract for the project.

The midscale lifestyle brand, part of Accor-backed Ennismore’s portfolio, specialises in offering a high-quality hotel experience at affordable prices. Located on Chicago Avenue, this nine-storey property will house 412 rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, a gym and a crew lounge.

“We look forward to working closely with both Accor and H3 Hotels to bring this new guest-centric, design-driven brand to life and to debut the Tribe Manchester Airport in 2023,” said David Anderson, executive vice president – international at Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

A significant development

This hotel will form part of the £1 billion Airport City Manchester mixed-use development, home to a variety of hotels, shops, offices, and manufacturing and logistics facilities.

The newly announced deal represents the third management agreement for Interstate at Airport City Manchester. Tribe Manchester Airport joins the 280-key Holiday Inn Manchester Airport and 262-key Ibis Budget Manchester Airport, which are both expected to open in 2022.

Anderson added: “We are thrilled to have signed Accor’s first Tribe hotel in England, an exciting new development that further extends our presence as a management company at Manchester Airport. The signing signals the optimism within the industry, with both domestic and international travel expected to see a resurgence in the months and years to come.”

Dexter Moren Associates’ founding director Dexter Moren recently told TOPHOTELNEWS that Tribe Manchester Airport is one of a host of projects currently on its books. The London-based hospitality design practice is working on schemes for brands like InterContinental, Radisson and Hilton across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
