IHG Hotels & Resorts will be bringing its InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand to Serbia after 20 years, in partnership with Delta Holding.

Belgrade bound

Expected to open by the end of 2026, InterContinental Belgrade will feature 203 rooms, including 28 Premium Rooms, 15 Junior Suites, 2 Superior Suites, 2 Executive Suites and a Presidential Suite with panoramic views of the city.

The hotel will include a sky pool, rooftop restaurant and bar, and terrace complete with fine dining. There will also be a spa and wellness centre, ballroom, lobby lounge, café, patisserie and meeting spaces.

New mixed-use development

InterContinental Belgrade will be ideally in the ‘Delta District’, a new mixed-use development in Belgrade’s business and financial centre, offering direct connections from the city’s newly renovated Sava Centar, which is the largest convention and exhibition space in the region.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented: “Our world-renowned InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand has been pioneering luxury travel for more than 75 years, and it’s great to bring it back to Serbia, a country that has enjoyed a surge in tourism in recent years. Its reputation as a business and investment powerhouse, together with its rich artistic heritage, fascinating history dating back over 7,000 years, and exquisite cuisine, makes it the ideal destination for locals and international visitors alike.

“InterContinental Belgrade is our fourth property with long-standing partners Delta Holdings, following Crowne Plaza Belgrade and Hotel Indigo Belgrade in Serbia, and InterContinental Ljubljana in Slovenia. We look forward to continuing to grow our partnership and, together, welcoming even more guests to the region.”

InterContinental Belgrade will also join a growing portfolio of nearly 20 open and pipeline properties across the Balkans in Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and the Northern Republic of Macedonia.
