2F Lighting: Inspired by the environment on site
2F-Lighting was again part of an individual project – the Hotel Indigo in Dresden, Germany. The 4* Hotel is partly a new building which has been integrated into a heritage-protected building of the “Kulturkraftwerk Mitte”.
The surroundings of the location also inspired the interior of the hotel. It was precisely this combination of new and old that made it so exciting for the 2F sales representative, Martin Baumann, to work on the adequate lighting.
2F was responsible for the realization of the lamps for the restaurant, going on with the public areas, followed by the 131 rooms as well as furnishing the counter at the reception with the popular hammered look.
The mutual intention was to integrate modern industrial design as in the Lobby and Restaurant with historical Baroque architecture as in the rooms.
The wall lamp in the rooms is a true work of custom-made art. Solid wood was used for the lamp which was finally turned and painted in a brass finish.
The project was completed at the end of 2018 in cooperation with Hagenauer and Tristar. The Hotel Indigo has not been Martin´s first German project, on the contrary, he already supervised countless projects in Germany and is your contact for the hospitality industry in this country.
