Moscow to welcome inaugural Hotel Indigo

Hotel Indigo Moscow – Tverskaya is set to become the first Hotel Indigo branded property in Moscow, following a new management deal signed between InterContinental Hotels Group and JSC “Tverskaya 24”. The property will welcome guests this year and will be the brand’s second property in Russia.

Aron Libinson, Vice President, Operations and Development, Russia, CIS & Georgia, spoke about the opening, saying, “We’re very excited to sign the second Hotel Indigo here in Russia. I am confident guests will love this new upscale boutique offering in the heart of Moscow.”

“IHG has a strong presence in Russia and we’re continuing to grow at pace. There is a lot of potential for brands in this market and we have the perfect portfolio to meet the demand for mainstream and upscale hotels. With 5 signings in the past month, I’m happy with the progress we’re making with our growth strategy across the entire Russia, CIS & Georgia region,” Mr Libinson elaborated.

Historic hotel in the heart of Moscow

The Hotel Indigo Moscow – Tverskaya will occupy a prestigious location on Moscow’s main thoroughfare, Tverskaya Street. Conveniently close to many of Moscow’s most popular tourist destinations such as the Red Square, The Kremlin and the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow’s Hotel Indigo will be housed in a historic building, surrounded by charming lanes and captivating side streets.

The building will be transformed into a unique property that will appeal to discerning travellers wanting to experience all the history, culture and excitement this enchanting city has to offer. Each Hotel Indigo property is individual in nature but shares IHG’s commitment to customer service and an offering of excellence.

Alexander Lebedev, General Director of JSC “Tverskaya 24”, said, “We are looking forward to launching Hotel Indigo Moscow – Tverskaya and continuing to grow our partnership with IHG. Their powerful systems drive strong performance throughout our hotels, so we are excited to continue to work together. Moscow is such a prominent city in Europe, and we know that introducing a brand solely focused on culture and neighbourhood will bring a new proposition that guests will love.”
