Commitment to the market
The signing of Crowne Plaza Istanbul West continues IHG’s strong momentum in Türkiye, demonstrating its commitment to the market and underscoring the increasing popularity of the country as a key destination.
To meet this growing demand, IHG is strategically expanding its portfolio across all brand segments in Türkiye, supported by the continued confidence owners have in IHG’s brands to deliver lasting value to its guests and owners.
As a result of this growth, IHG recently signed its first Garner, Istanbul Arnavutköy in the country, boosting its presence in the Essentials segment, as well as signing Vignette Collection, Istanbul Karaköy, strengthening its Luxury and Lifestyle portfolio.
Primarily targeting international and domestic business travellers, Crowne Plaza Istanbul West will be located a short drive from the Tuyap Exhibition and Fair Centre, Ambarli Port – Istanbul’s largest container port – and the Beylikduzu Industrial Zone, home to 950 factories.
Crowne Plaza Istanbul West will feature a wellness centre including a spa and fitness room. The hotel will also include an all-day dining restaurant and bar as well as several meeting and event spaces, ideal for social gatherings or large corporate events.
Growing portfolio
Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The Turkish market has gained remarkable momentum in recent years, and we are committed to sustaining this growth through differentiation and innovation. The rate at which we are signing new hotels in Türkiye is testament to IHG’s incredible in-market team who continue to work with new and existing partners to bring our brands to new locations.
Crowne Plaza Istanbul West adds to the brand’s growing European portfolio of 110 open and pipeline properties.
IHG Hotels & Resorts operates 33 open hotels in Türkiye, across five brands including 13 Crowne Plaza properties. Crowne Plaza Istanbul West will become the 9th open and pipeline Crowne Plaza in Istanbul, also joining 17 in development across Europe, and 140 around the world.
