Taking over a historic site

IHG Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to renovate and manage the historic Château Mont Royal under its InterContinental brand through a management agreement with Groupe BMF and Groupe PFH. This property is to become a flagship hotel for the brand in France when it opens in 2024.

Fabien Bertini, Founder – Groupe BMF and Simon Pinto, President – Groupe PFH, said in a joint statement: “We are proud to be partnering with IHG Hotels & Resorts – a true powerhouse of the hotel industry – to bring to life our vision for InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal.”

A luxury retreat in Chantilly

Built in the early 20th century, Château Mont Royal showcases Louis XVI-style architecture. On opening as InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal, the property will have two restaurants, a bar, a summer terrace and 11 meeting rooms, as well as wellness facilities including treatment rooms, a sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, tennis court and gym.

The property lies just 20 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Airport and 40km from Paris. The hotel will cater for both leisure and business travellers, with many historic sites also to discover nearby. Chantilly is known for its royal heritage, intricately woven lace and 1840-founded racecourse.
