IHG signs Crowne Plaza Lagos Ikeja, a 119-room hotel opening in 2028, bringing modern business and leisure amenities to Lagos’ Ikeja district

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Crowne Plaza Lagos Ikeja, a 119-room hotel set to open in early 2028. The property will operate under a franchise agreement with Watercress Hotel International Limited and be managed by Valor Hospitality Partners. This signing marks a significant step in IHG’s expansion across Africa, reinforcing its commitment to key urban markets.

Prime location and guest experience

Situated in Lagos’ lively Ikeja district—the city’s administrative, aviation, and commercial hub—Crowne Plaza Lagos Ikeja offers easy access to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja City Mall, government offices like Alausa Secretariat, and cultural sites such as Nike Art Gallery. The hotel is also close to popular beaches like Tarkwa Bay and Elegushi.

The hotel will bring Crowne Plaza’s signature features to West Africa, designed to support today’s professionals balancing work and relaxation:
