IHG continues growth of Holiday Inn Express in Thailand

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement to develop Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asoke with an expected opening date of early 2025.

This signing signifies the continued expansion of the Holiday Inn Express brand in Thailand as it joins six operating and 10 pipeline Holiday Inn Express properties in the country.

A new partnership

Through the signing of an agreement with new partner APK Real Estate Co Ltd, IHG is set to open the 180-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asoke, signalling the continued growth of the Holiday Inn Express brand in Thailand.

Saowarin Chanprakaisi, senior director, development, south east Asia and Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asoke is our first partnership with APK Real Estate Co Ltd for – a hotel we’re certain will quickly become much loved by domestic and international visitors to the city.

“This signing shows IHG’s continued commitment to developing our fantastic estate in Thailand where we now have six Holiday Inn Express properties, and another 10 in the pipeline.”

“This eye-catching high rise hotel will be our second Holiday Inn Express & Suites property in the country, after Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Central Pier which will be opening soon.”

Flexible accommodation offering

Following the conversion of the vacant newbuild BelAir Mansion residential condominium, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bangkok Asoke will host guests in 180 rooms and suites with kitchenettes. Facilities here will include a lounge and bar, swimming pool, meeting room, gym and DIY laundry.

The property will place guests 25 km from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Muang International Airport and just 500 m from Sukhumvit MRT station and Asok BTS station interchange. With its location on Sukhumvit 23, the hotel will be within easy reach of several retail and entertainment complexes.
