Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur will join the group’s portfolio in the premium segment and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur will enter the essentials collection.
Strategically located
Currently under construction, both hotels are scheduled to open in January 2027.
Complementing Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula and Holiday Inn Chandigarh Zirakpur, the dual signing will strengthen IHG’s offerings in Punjab and add over 350 keys to the company’s portfolio in the state. Forming a cluster in Zirakpur, the new hotels will be strategically located adjacent to National Highway 22, one of the busiest highways in India, attracting travellers from nearby cities and towns.
Banqueting demand
Once opened, both Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur will be positioned amongst the largest regional banqueting facilities, with approximately 100,000 sq ft of meeting space, poised to meet the demand for weddings, conferences, and events from Zirakpur, Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Dera Bassi.
Situated in close proximity to Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand, the hotels will tap into guests seeking stopovers on leisure trips.
Crowning story
Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur will feature 150 keys and four food and beverage outlets including an all-day dining, specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge and bar.
Alongside premium rooms, the hotel will also include meeting spaces across nine venues including a ballroom for special events. Other facilities to relax and unwind include a club lounge, pool, fitness centre, spa and retail.
Holiday Inn inspiration
The upcoming 200-key Holiday Inn & Suites will feature three food and beverage outlets including an all-day dining, bar, and a lobby lounge.
To cater to MICE demands, the hotel will be equipped with three meeting rooms including a ballroom. The property will also feature a pool and a fitness centre.
