The 150-key Holiday Inn Guwahati is expected to open at the start of 2028. The hotel plays a role in IHG’s secondary market expansion plans in line with growing demand across the country.
A burgeoning destination
The new Holiday Inn will provide a new place to stay in the gateway destination to northeastern India, Guwahati, which is also a thriving economic hub featuring Special Economic Zones and established industrial manufacturing areas, healthcare and education sectors.
Also appealing to leisure travellers, the city is a popular tourist destination, with tea gardens, wildlife sanctuaries and ancient temples all within the area.

In this destination for both business and leisure travellers, Holiday Inn Guwahati will be strategically located on Azara Road, providing easy access to Guwahati Airport and the city centre.
The hotel’s 150 guest rooms will be joined by an all-day dining restaurant, bar and lobby lounge, as well as a fitness centre and pool. Additionally, the hotel will be home to four meeting rooms and a banquet hall, with signature amenities for meetings and events.
