These two new hotels under the InterContinental and voco brands will bring 390 new rooms to the country. Both properties will be a part of 205 an Arkan Palm Development.
A prime location
In partnership with Arkan Palm for Real Estate Investment, IHG is set to open InterContinental West Cairo 205 and voco West Cairo 205 Suites at the new mixed-use 205 an Arkan Palm Development in West Cairo.
The InterContinental hotel is expected to open in January 2028 and the voco hotel is scheduled for a June 2026 debut. The double signing responds to the high demand for luxury and premium guest experiences here.
The one-million-sqm 205 an Arkan Palm Development will encompass office, residential units and retail as well as hospitals, clinic, an international school and Canal Walk Island, which will be made up of residential and retail space.

Luxury and premium hospitality experiences
The 250-key InterContinental West Cairo 205 will provide a luxury hotel experience with an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, lobby lounge and destination bar, as well as a club lounge, spa, health club, swimming pool and 1,110 sq m of event space including a ballroom.
The 140-room voco West Cairo 205 Suites will then offer guests a premium stay with the brand’s signature bold design and a range of amenities including a restaurant, grab-and-go eatery and health club.
Both properties will place guests close to sites including the Pyramids and the soon-to-open Grand Egyptian Museum, 30 minutes from downtown Cairo and within 45 minutes of Cairo International Airport.
