IHCL to inaugurate presence in Vrindavan

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed its first hotel in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, with a deal for a Vivanta-branded site.

The management contract with Brijwasi Hospitality is for a greenfield project slated to open in 2026 in the northern Indian region.

Full facilities

The 120-key Vivanta by Taj Vrindavan will be situated in Rukmani Vihar, a short driving distance from popular temples including the Banke Bihari and ISKCON.

Facilities will include an all-day diner, swimming pool, fitness centre and a spa. The hotel will also offer over 730 sq m of banqueting space including meeting rooms and banquet halls.

Pilgrim destination expansion

Suma Venkatesh, executive vice president – real estate and development, IHCL said: “India is renowned for its spirituality across the globe. Uttar additions

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 17 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands across Uttar Pradesh including seven under development.

The state’s pipeline properties incorporate the 110-key Vivanta Gorakhpur, which will be part of a mixed-use development scheduled to complete in Q1 2024; and Vivanta Greater Noida, delivering 261 rooms as part of the Mahagun Marina Walk mixed-use project in Q1 2026.
