The opening of Secrets Tides Punta Cana signifies the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand’s expansion across the Caribbean island nation.

This 688-key adults-only resort designed for couples fuses a romantic setting with modern luxury on Punta Cana’s idyllic shores.

Expansion in the Caribbean nation

A part of the Inclusive Collection, by World of Hyatt, this opening brings Hyatt’s leisure portfolio in the Dominican Republic to 17 resorts, with further growth planned for later 2024 with the Hyatt Centric brand’s debut in Santo Domingo.

The new Secrets Tides Punta Cana is located on the palm-dotted shores of the Uvero Alto neighbourhood in Punta Cana. The new property draws on traditional Dominican architecture and takes inspiration from Dominican designers.

“We are excited to announce the opening of Secrets Tides Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, as we expand the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand in a country known for its beautiful beaches and romantic flair,” said Jordi Guillaumet, General Manager Secrets Tides.

“The Dominican Republic continues to be a sought-after destination for honeymoons, weddings, and romantic escapes, and the Inclusive Collection is pleased to offer guests another option to experience the distinct offerings of Unlimited-Luxury®.”

Designed for couples

The all-suite resort hosts guests across a series of accommodation categories, all encompassing a furnished balcony or terrace providing garden, pool or ocean views, as well as a coffee bar, daily refreshed mini-bar and 24-hour room service.

The Preferred Club provides an even more exclusive experience, with benefits including personalised check-in and checkout service, access to the Preferred Club Lounge, private access to the Preferred Club pool, and a dedicated area at the infinity pool and beach.

All guests can make the most of the resort’s many restaurants, bars and lounges, which include South American culinary spot Tierra and ‘Mediterrasian’ fusion restaurant Meraki, with private dining experiences also offered.

Amenities across the property span three pools, two outdoor hot tubs and Secrets Spa offering hydrotherapy and relaxing spa treatments.
