Hyatt is to debut its second Andaz property in Mexico with the opening of Andaz Condesa Mexico City.

On opening in late 2022, the luxury lifestyle hotel will place guests in Mexico City’s Condesa neighbourhood as a part of a creative mixed-use development.

A taste of the locale

A Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Grupo Murano to open the luxury lifestyle Andaz Condesa Mexico City hotel in 2022. The property will be a part of the architecturally significant I421 mixed-use complex, previously the historic Conjunto Aristos.

This 213-key hotel will reflect its place in the Andaz portfolio with local experiences and a celebration of the locale through everything from the design to the food.

“Andaz Condesa Mexico City will mark the Andaz brand’s entry into the influential and historic capital city, and as the demand in leisure travel continues to rise, we look forward to introducing a new luxury lifestyle offering to guests, World of Hyatt members and customers,” said Camilo Bolaños, senior vice president of development and real estate.

“This project allows us to thoughtfully expand Hyatt’s brand footprint in the region and create meaningful opportunities that fulfil the increased demand for luxury offerings in Mexico that cater to the high-end traveller and locals alike.”

An inspiring urban location

Designed to become an inspiring destination resort, the new Andaz property will feature stylish guest rooms and suites alongside amenities including four distinct dining and drinking outlets, a fitness centre, spa and event space that make the property ideal for both business and leisure travellers. A rooftop pool will command views over the city’s historic landmarks.

Located within 15 minutes of Mexico City’s Zocalo and Centro Histórico, the hotel will encourage exploration of the area surrounding this creative hub set amid art nouveau mansions, bistros and cafes.

Commenting on the plans, Marcos Sacal, owner and COO of Grupo Murano, said: “We are delighted to bring the Andaz experience to I421 and it is an honour to announce this project.”

“Andaz Condesa Mexico City will fit in perfectly with the spirit of I421 as the project is expected to provide signature touch points designed to elevate the senses through meaningful and regionally distinctive guest offerings for today’s luxury and lifestyle traveller seeking to immerse themselves in Mexico´s culture.”

“Creating an experience that showcases La Condesa’s authentic character for locals as well as guests from all over the world will set Andaz Condesa Mexico City apart.”

This property will be the second Andaz hotel in Mexico, following on from the 2016 opening of Andaz Mayakoba. Hyatt is continuing to drive the growth of its brands across Latin America and the Caribbean.
