Andaz Doha will mark the hotel brand’s entrance to the country and signify the continued growth of Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s luxury lifestyle portfolio in the Middle East.

The host nation of the 2022 World Cup has scored another victory with the news that one of Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s most prestigious brands is coming to play.

A milestone development

Hyatt has signed a management agreement with Al Mirqab Tourist Company to create the 318-key Andaz Doha, which is expected to launch in autumn 2022 – around the same time as Qatar hosts the next World Cup. This exciting project will deliver only the fourth Hyatt property in the country and third Andaz-branded hotel in the Middle East.

“We are honoured to announce plans for the Andaz brand in Qatar in our second collaboration with Al Mirqab Group as part of our ever-expanding brand presence in the country,” said Ludwig Bouldoukian, Hyatt’s Dubai-based regional vice president of development, Middle East and Africa.

“Doha is a thriving hub for our lifestyle offerings and Andaz Doha is poised to become one of the city’s most innovative destinations. Looking forward, Qatar will continue to remain a key focus for Hyatt as we build our strong pipeline across the Middle East in destinations that truly matter to our guests. With its burgeoning luxury and lifestyle sector, Qatar will continue to represent an important market for Hyatt.”

A reflection of its locale

This new hotel will reflect the Andaz brand’s ethos of providing local experiences that stimulate the senses. With the Andaz name translating to ‘personal style’ in Hindi, each property celebrates individuality and the character of the area.

For Doha, guests can expect a full cultural immersion spanning everything from the hotel’s design to its cuisine.

Located in the prestigious West bay area of Doha, the scheme will sit amid embassies, consulates and government institutions within easy reach of various restaurants and retail areas. The property will offer 318 guestrooms with sea views, plus four F&B venues sporting a modern design aesthetic and serving up a mix of local and international flavours.
