The 319-room Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay promises to bring world-class hospitality to this fast-developing area on China’s east coast.
Located by Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the longest sea-crossing bridge in the world, this sophisticated hotel will doubtless prove popular among guests travelling to and from Ningbo, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou.
A strategic location in China
Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay provides an inviting base for travellers visiting the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay Area of China. This business district, home to countless technology, finance and automotive businesses, is also known for its fresh seafood and coastal scenery. The National Wetland Park and Fangte Oriental Heritage theme park are both nearby, and a daily shuttle connects guests with Ningbo Lishe International Airport.
“As our Hyatt Regency portfolio continues to expand exponentially in China, we’re delighted to welcome a new, energising hotel in the Yangtze River Delta and offer guests a space to make meaningful connections whether they are travelling for business or leisure,” said Stephen Ho, president of growth and operations for Asia Pacific, Hyatt. “Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay brings world-class hospitality, enticing dining and intuitive meeting spaces to the emerging strategic commercial and ecological tourism destination.”
“Our team is excited to bring Hyatt’s renowned hospitality and the Hyatt Regency brand’s high-touch experiences to this exciting new destination,” said Richard Wu, general manager of Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay. “No matter the reason for their visit, guests will find everything they need to make meaningful connections and create lasting memories.”

From socialising to relaxation
Inside, guests can expect to find all the amenities of a modern urban retreat. The hotel’s 319 guest rooms and suites boast a sleek design aesthetic integrating local elements, floor-to-ceiling windows and smart technology, including control panels to easily adjust room settings, HDTVs, Bluetooth music players and high-speed internet. Several rooms feature balconies, and Regency Club rooms come with access to the 22nd-floor lounge.
This accommodation is complemented by four restaurants and lounges. Xiang Yue offers Cantonese dishes, Ningbo seafood and signature Peking duck in a residential-style space incorporating 13 private dining rooms; Market Café consists of several open kitchens set in a modern market garden; The Lounge serves up wines, cocktails and afternoon teas in a double-height atrium inspired by a classical garden; and Hai Bar, due to open in July, is set to become a nightlife hub for socialising and live music on the 23rd floor.
Fitness and wellness facilities within the property include a 24-hour fitness centre, an 80-foot indoor heated pool with poolside loungers, a sauna and whirlpool facilities.
All of this is accompanied by 32,744 sq ft of event space, including the pillarless Regency Ballroom. Meanwhile, the Terrace Garden can host outdoor functions on the third-floor rooftop and the 23rd floor’s Sky Pavilion promises to be ideal for events such as product launches.
