The 150-key Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU hotel has opened its doors next to Texas Christian University’s campus in the heart of Fort Worth.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has boosted its footprint in the American South with the launch of a six-storey property in Fort Worth, one of the largest cities in Texas.
A new hotel within walking distance of TCU
College campuses are getting a lot of love from big hotel brands these days, and Texas Christian University (TCU) is the latest to attract a high-profile flag. Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU offers visitors to the academic hub, as well as nearby districts, a base where they can rest, relax and rejuvenate.
John F Davis III, president of the hotel’s owner Campus Hotel Venture, said: “As a TCU alumnus, I’m beyond thrilled to be opening the first hotel ever to be located within walking distance of my alma mater, TCU. Every college campus needs a hotel like this where sports fans can easily walk to the college stadiums, or parents and students can stay and easily tour the campus.

This new Hyatt Place property has a lot going for it, both in terms of its location and the kind of hospitality experience on offer. “Fort Worth is a world-class city and key business and leisure destination,” said general manager Regina Rhodes. “Hyatt Place Fort Worth/TCU serves as a wonderful new option for business and leisure travellers visiting the heart of the city’s university and cultural district.”
Guests of the hotel benefit from proximity to the campus as well as Fort Worth Medical District, the historic Stockyards, Dickies Arena, Will Rogers Memorial Center and downtown. The property boasts 150 guest rooms, a fitness centre, several F&B options including The Market and The Bar, and 3,500 sq ft of flexible meeting and event space. Perhaps the highlight of the scheme, however, is exciting rooftop bar Lot 12, which features two Top Golf Swing Suites.
