A joint venture between NewcrestImage and Canterbury Hotel Group, Hyatt House Portland / Beaverton has become Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s latest outpost in Oregon.

This 125-key hotel is ideally located in the Oregonian city’s downtown central business district, close to landmarks like the Round Plaza, Patricia Reser Center for the Arts and City Hall.

Hotel living with home comforts

With a convenient downtown setting, the newly opened Hyatt House Portland / Beaverton provides apartment-style living that’s ideal for guests looking to maintain their existing work and personal routines while away from home. It’s also situated just eight miles away from downtown Portland.

“This Hyatt House hotel is everything the name represents – a welcoming and warm environment that encourages guests to live like residents,” said Monica Cheeks, the hotel’s general manager. “We want each and every guest who comes through our doors to feel that they can let their real-life routines roll on, even when they’re on the road. Whether guests are visiting for a short trip or an extended stay, we know Hyatt House Portland / Beaverton is the perfect place for a personalised hotel experience that will encourage guests to feel right at home.”

Services for comfort and convenience

Altogether, the hotel houses 125 guestrooms across five storeys; its accommodation offering includes 13 apartment-style Kitchen Suites, which come with fully equipped kitchens as well as living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms. Meanwhile, The Commons lounge provides a place for guests to socialise and unwind, the Outdoor Commons gives them an open-air setting for cocktails and small bites, and The H Bar offers a ‘Sip + Snack Menu’ of casual meals, wines, spirits and premium beers.

Guests can also enjoy hot and cold breakfast items to go from the Complimentary Morning Spread, pick up snacks from the 24-hour H Market or keep on top of their fitness routine in the gym. And the 570 sq ft Gathering Room delivers a flexible event space with audiovisual equipment, a house host, and a crowdpleasing food and beverage menu.

“The opening of this Hyatt House hotel is a powerful testimony that hoteliers continue to provide the best of hotel experiences even during challenging travel times,” said Mehul Patel, chairman and CEO of NewcrestImage. “We’ve created a property where travellers can rest easy after a tough day on the road.”

“New vaccines are giving all of us realistic hope for a return to safety and a return to travel,” added Arvind Patel, CEO of Canterbury Hotel Group. “Our new property combines the comfort and style of home, with the convenience of a hotel, so guests can feel calm and cosy surrounded by the very best in creature comforts and in socially distanced service.”
