Chicago-headquartered hospitality company Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled its first property on the sun-drenched Mediterranean archipelago, the 151-room Hyatt Regency Malta.

Hyatt’s exciting Mediterranean venture
Hyatt is dipping its toes into a whole new Mediterranean market with the opening of Hyatt Regency Malta. The group’s first branded property in the small island nation opened in mid-October 2020 and represents the 26th Hyatt Regency hotel in Europe.
Mark Vella, Hyatt Regency Malta’s manager, explained: “We are thrilled to announce the opening of the first Hyatt-branded property in Malta, an archipelago rich in historic architecture and quickly becoming one of the most sought-after destinations for business and leisure travel. Hyatt Regency Malta provides both leisure and business travellers with energising experiences, all while maintaining the high standards of the responsible and empathetic service for which the Hyatt Regency brand is known.”
Sophisticated suites and sea views
The Hyatt Regency brand is synonymous with providing a seamless hotel experience in a stress-free environment, and this is exactly what the Hyatt Regency Malta promises to deliver. Situated in a premier location just minutes from the beach, the hotel offers guests convenient access to some of the island’s biggest attractions, including the Unesco World Heritage-listed city of Valletta.
Among the property’s 151 rooms are 11 suites and one ambassador suite. All guest rooms have views of either the sea or the nearby Santa Rita Square, and each boasts wireless high-speed internet access.
The hotel has three F&B outlets in total – Seed, a Mediterranean-inspired eatery; GIN-ger, a cool rooftop pool bar; and Thyme, a cafe. There’s also the HyattStayFit state-of-the-art gym and fitness centre for those who like to keep fit on the go, while business guests can make use of 1,571 sq ft of flexible meeting and event space.
