Fitzroy of London, born out of the requirement for more luxurious bathroom fittings, prides itself on its world-class design and manufacturing functions. This has resulted in Fitzroy of London being part of some of the world’s most prestigious architectural developments, including The Ned Hotel in London.
This ambitious project involved the conversion of the former Midland Bank into a stylish destination venue in the city of London.
The Ned was crowned last year’s AHEAD Europe Hotel of the Year. The 5 star hotel and members club was also awarded Best Event Space, Best Restaurant and Best Spa.
Challenged by both UK regulations and the lack of flexible manufacturing partners, it can be difficult to arrive at a solution that meets both the design brief and compliance, whilst maintaining a consistent high standard of quality and luxury throughout a project.
Through detailed research and development of the Georgian Art Deco design brief given; Fitzroy of London was able to assist Soho House Interior Design in designing and manufacturing a range of bespoke bathroom accessories for this project.
The final product finishes varied from polished nickel to antique brass, these were chosen to compliment the interior design scheme and correspond with the brassware finish choices.
Recognising the need for a greater variety of product finishes; Fitzroy of London have worked extensively with many finishing companies across Europe enabling them to have 50 different finish options as standard with the ability to match most other brassware manufacturer finishes if required.
Fitzroy of London has since become known as a brand synonymous with the finer attributes of luxury hospitality. This has resulted in collaborations with high-class design practices around the world, including Dubai, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Barcelona and Amsterdam with products featured in projects ranging from five star hotels to Michelin-star restaurants.
Resulting from a varied experience of working shoulder-to-shoulder with world respected design professionals; Fitzroy of London has gained the valuable experience and knowledge necessary to be able to create an outstanding collection of design led products for the luxury bathroom.
Furthermore, for those who would like to incorporate the features of opulent design found in the affluent spaces of renowned hotels world-wide, Fitzroy of London has hand-picked a selection of high-end bathroom showrooms to display the product collections offered and to make products easily accessible to those with a fine eye for design from 2019.
Thanks to its heritage, Fitzroy of London has a strong comprehension of the challenging regulation surrounding disabled bathrooms in the UK and Europe. Through research, it has found a way of creating beautiful, disabled bathrooms that remain consistent to the design of standard bathrooms, whilst adhering to necessary regulations. This has successfully enabled hotel clients to secure a greater return on investment through increasing the occupancy rates and overall impression of these areas.
Fitzroy of London has an increasing ability to propose outstanding interior design concepts and full design solutions for bathrooms that are required to meet compliance and the brief given.
