Japan’s Hotel Okura Co Ltd has signed a management agreement with Vietnamese firm Trading Construction Works Organization for a new coastal retreat on Phu Quoc Island.

Okura Resort & Spa Phu Quoc will open in 2027 in the resort of Long Beach, Vietnam.

Amazing amenities

The new hotel will feature 200 guestrooms, each with a standard area of approximately 50 sq m. Housing five dining facilities and lounges, including a restaurant offering Japanese cuisine and an all-day dining facility, the resort will boast a bar, a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool and a spa.

There will also be three banquet and meeting rooms providing high-quality space and service for a variety of events. In addition, the property will contain around 65 villas, taking advantage of its beachfront location.

Continuous development

Toshihiro Ogita, president, Hotel Okura, commented: “We are delighted that the Okura Group will be expanding our brand presence in the resort area. We will continue to develop hotels featuring the Japanese levels of hospitality that only Okura can offer.”

This development strategy currently sees projects underway including Okura Prestige Taichung, bringing 250 keys to China in Q2 2023; the 380-room Hotel Okura Manila Bayshore, heading to Bagong Nayong Philipino Entertainment City in the Philippines in Q4 2024; and Hotel Okura Jakarta, a 181-key site opening in the Indonesian capital in Q1 2025.
