Holiday Inn has opened a new hotel just outside Denver International Airport, and it’s the first one built from the ground up to test the brand’s latest lobby layout. The Holiday Inn & Suites Commerce City-Denver Airport combines the front desk, an order counter, and a full bar into a single space near the entrance. The idea is to cut down on the usual maze of separate stations guests have to find when they check in, grab a coffee, or order a drink.

The 106-room hotel is located less than 10 minutes from the airport and offers a free shuttle to and from it. It was developed by NibbleNook Hospitality, a Denver-based ownership group. The property accepts pets and is aimed at a mix of business travelers, group bookings, and families, with nearby access to major employers, hospitals, and youth sports venues.
What’s in the Building
Guest rooms are split into separate zones for working, relaxing, and sleeping, with a small desk area, blackout shades, and upgraded bedding. The hotel also includes an indoor heated pool, a 24-hour gym, an outdoor patio with a fire pit, and electric vehicle charging stations. Wi-Fi and coffee are included at no extra charge.
Food and drink options include:
- A breakfast buffet each morning
- Dinner service at an on-site restaurant called Mile High Landing
- A full-service bar open throughout the day for food, drinks, or remote work
- An evening menu built around shareable American dishes, along with cocktails, beer, and wine
Part of a Bigger Rollout
This opening comes as Holiday Inn heads toward its 75th anniversary in 2027. The brand currently has more than 1,200 hotels open worldwide, with over 300 more in development. It was also named the most trusted U.S. travel and hospitality brand by Morning Consult Intelligence for the sixth year in a row.
Meredith Moore, Vice President of Global Holiday Inn by IHG, said the brand is trying to balance new design ideas with the kind of experience longtime guests already expect. “We remain focused on evolving the brand for today’s travelers while staying true to what has made Holiday Inn one of the world’s most trusted hotel brands,” she said.
NibbleNook Hospitality’s Pawan Kharbanda and Mohit Kumar, who manage the property, said their goal was less about opening another hotel and more about giving guests a sense of place tied to Denver itself, whether they’re passing through for a night or staying for a stretch of business meetings.
The next hotel set to use the same lobby concept is Holiday Inn Fort Worth – Fossil Creek, which is expected to open at a later date.
