Holiday Inn establishes foothold near Kiwi ski resort

British hospitality company IHG has unveiled a new flagship hotel sporting Holiday Inn’s next-generation design, right next to a popular ski destination in New Zealand.

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park delivers a welcoming hospitality experience for winter sports enthusiasts.

Holiday Inn expands in Australasia

IHG’s much-loved Holiday Inn brand has cemented its footprint in Australasia with a new opening in Queenstown, New Zealand. The new outpost showcases its next-generation design concept, characterised by fluid spaces where guests can eat, drink, work, meet, relax and socialise as they desire – this can be seen in the open lobby area, featuring a restaurant and bar, a media lounge, an e-bar and a cosy fireplace.

Mathew Simister, the hotel’s general manager, said: “As travel returns, we are excited to welcome guests to our flagship, next-generation-design Holiday Inn hotel in New Zealand.

“This hotel is set to impress with its modern design that encapsulates the local surrounds, mountain views and vibrant local fare. For family, active leisure and business travellers, we believe there’s no better full-service hotel that offers affordable accommodation, that conveniently connects you with the awe-inspiring beauty of Queenstown’s snow-capped mountains, rugged trails, river canyons and vineyards.”

A Remarkable experience

The hotel is situated close to ski resort The Remarkables and just a five-minute drive from Queenstown Airport, making it the ideal base from which to explore Queenstown and the greater Central Otago region.

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park boasts 182 rooms and suites in total. And guests can also avail themselves of one of the four flexible meeting and event spaces, which can hold up to 200 attendees.

After a long day out on the slopes, meanwhile, ski lovers can leave their gear in the hotel’s very own secure drying room, before heading to the lobby to relax beside the fire. Giants Restaurant and Bar provides the perfect spot to refuel, while provisions for future excursions can be bought at Rolling Giants to-go Café.
