Hilton Worldwide’s Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel line will be maintaining its focus on North America, with a majority of upcoming additions headed to the continent.

At least 41 projects are in the pipeline for the soft brand, encompassing a minimum of 5,549 keys, according to the latest data from THP.

Worldwide portfolio

The Tapestry Collection by Hilton portfolio is continuing to expand worldwide and now comprises around 132 hotels currently operational or under development, of which 114, or 86%, are in North America. Global sites for the brand span 13 countries including France, the UK, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Known for their vibrant and unique styles, each Tapestry Collection hotel encourages guests to immerse themselves in the local area, creating authentic connections with destinations while offering an upscale and comfortable hotel experience.

American preference

The American theme continues for forthcoming projects, with over 70% of THP’s records for the four star brand, representing 29 hotels, located in North America. Just six developments are underway in Europe, four in Asia and one each for South America and Oceania.

Out of the 29 North American sites, 28 of them are in the USA. Drilling down into state distribution, Florida tops that list on five projects, while Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana share runners-up spot on three apiece. And for individual cities, Tennessee’s Nashville heads the pack with three sites, with Atlanta, Georgia close behind on two.

Outside of the US, only China has multiple entries in our database, with four developments.

Regional debuts

Over the next few years, the Tapestry Collection is going to move into even more international markets. In North America, the brand will make its Bermuda debut with the 111-key Bermudiana Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The beachside resort is due to open in Q3 2024, offering a clifftop bar and restaurant, an ocean-view pool bar and grill, and a spa, yoga terrace, and fitness centre.

In Europe, the line will enter Bosnia & Herzegovina with Hotel Neretva Mostar, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Q1 2026. The hotel will encompass 80 guestrooms, a specialty restaurant and terrace, a lobby bar and lounge, as well as an indoor pool, fitness centre and three meeting rooms.

Within the UK, the first location in Northern Ireland will be Marcus Hotel Portrush Tapestry Collection by Hilton, delivering 83 keys in Q1 2025. It will occupy a site that served as a hotel and artisan bakery between 1895 and the 1980s, with interiors that embrace the local heritage and culture, as well as the colours of the coastal landscape, in this restored and extended building. Amenities within the hotel will include a café, restaurant and bar.

Meanwhile the Tapestry Collection’s first foray into northern Italy will be Ambasciatori Venice Mestre, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, due to open imminently in the floating city. The 83-room hotel will be the result of a complete renovation at the property, with design drawing on the local history and proximity to the lagoon. It will house upscale guestrooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness facilities and meeting rooms.

Steady newbuilding pipeline

Most of the pipeline looks to be newbuildings, with 24 of THP’s 41 records falling into that category. 11 others are refurbishments and six are conversions.

Deliveries are currently slated to peak in 2024, with 13 openings scheduled, and the pace will be steady into 2025 in the shape of another 10 additions. Eight sites are due to complete by the end of this year, and further into the future, one more is expected in 2026. The remaining nine are yet to be designated a delivery date.
