Canopy by Hilton Cannes is on track to opening spring 2023 in the coastal city’s Le Suquet neighbourhood.
From its location in central Cannes, the inviting new property will provide views over the Old Port from its scenic rooftop terrace.
Entry to Cannes
Hilton has announced the signing of a franchise agreement with SNC Société d´Exploitation Nouvelle du Soleil d´Or, a subsidiary of SDPNE, to open this new Canopy by Hilton hotel in Cannes.
The 143-key property will stand out for its prime location close to the beaches, Old Port and Palais des Festivals, as well as amenities including a rooftop terrace, bar and restaurant.
“Cannes is a world-class destination, hosting international events and leisure travellers from all over the globe,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton. “Having introduced Canopy by Hilton to Paris’ lively Trocadero neighbourhood last year, Cannes is a fitting home for our second Canopy hotel in France, and joins Hilton’s burgeoning European lifestyle portfolio.”
“With more than 20 new Hilton hotels planned in France in the next few years, we’re excited to extend our hospitality across the country, including Canopy by Hilton’s highly anticipated arrival on the Cote d’Azur.”
Nathalie Esnée, owner and CEO of SNC Société d´Exploitation Nouvelle du Soleil d´Or, added: “We are excited to bring Hilton’s first property to Cannes under the Canopy by Hilton brand.”
“We are confident that the hotel’s enviable location in the city, the Lifestyle positioning and stunning views over the coast will make for a huge hit with both leisure and business travellers. Following renovations, we look forward to welcoming guests to Canopy by Hilton Cannes next year.”
Appealing hotel amenities
On opening, the new hotel will accommodate guests in rooms and suites with balconies offering sea views and the locally inspired interior design of Ramy Fischler.
Highlights of this new property are to include the 400-sq-m rooftop terrace, bar and restaurant for morning coffees and cocktails by night, a combined indoor-outdoor pool and fitness facilities as well as a spa. Canopy Central will offer lounge space for both work and play and more formal meetings will be held in the hotel’s 380-sq-m event space.
From the hotel’s central location, guests will be able to explore Cannes on foot or with one of the complimentary Canopy bicycles.
The hotel’s Canopy Enthusiasts will be on hand to connect guests with their surroundings and the property will offer the brand’s Paws in the Neighbourhood pet programme.
Hilton now has more than 20 hotels under development across France.
