Signia by Hilton is the group's modern take on a luxury hotel with space for major conventions and business gatherings - now coming to Jordan.

Hilton Hotels has signed a hotel in Jordan to launch under its luxury Signia brand, the first international site for the brand outside of the US.

Signia by Hilton Amman is expected to open in 2025, with the 272 room hotel putting down a marker for Signia as its first property in EMEA. The luxury brand is unashamedly modern, while also carrying on the tradition of personalised service and great amenities that luxury hotel guests still seek.

A new brand for convention hotels

The Signia brand was launched in 2019, as a luxury brand focused on hotels capable of handling larger meetings and events. At the launch, Hilton CEO Chris Nassetta declared: “In our 100th year of hospitality, we are more focused than ever on providing exceptional experiences to all of our guests – and that includes evolving those experiences to meet their changing needs.” He promised modern architecture and guest room designs, a lobby in a modern format that encourages interaction as a place to dwell, with strong restaurant and wellness amenities.

David Marr, senior vice president and global head, full service brands, Hilton explained the other key focus of the brand: “Signia by Hilton grew from feedback from top meeting professionals, owners, developers and guests… together, we created Signia by Hilton, a brand that will resonate with travelers, ‘wow’ meeting professionals and set a new, elevated standard for the meetings and events industry.”  With a need to support large events, Signia hotels are, for the most part, likely to have a larger inventory of bedrooms.

The brand launched with three US hotels: Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Signia by Hilton Atlanta and Signia by Hilton Indianapolis. As of 2024, the hotels in Orlando and Atlanta are open, with a third property operational in Orlando.

The new hotel in Jordan will open in the Shmeisani business district in downtown Amman in January 2025, the company has revealed. With over 5,000 square meters of flexible meeting space, it will have the capacity to hold conferences with up to 3,400 delegates, as well as a range of 20 different meeting spaces of varying sizes. All of the spaces will have access to the latest technology, enabling the most effective in-person meetings, while also supporting the latest in hybrid and online events.

Additional guest benefits

For guests taking club rooms and suites, there will be an exclusive Club Signia experience, including access to private lounges, dedicated concierge services, enhanced in-room amenities and personalized services.

In its home US market, the Signia brand is growing with planned hotel launches including Signia Diplomat Beach Resort, and Signia Indianapolis. The Indianapolis hotel will have 800 rooms, and is expected to open in late 2026.  The brand will also be heading to Asia, with the 360 room Signia by Hilton Chengdu in planning.
