Hilton Worldwide has signalled its intention to re-enter Pakistan with the opening of the 167-key DoubleTree by Hilton Islamabad West alongside Dhabi Hospitality.

Virginia-headquartered hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide will increase its footprint on the subcontinent after signing an agreement with Dhabi Hospitality to introduce the upscale DoubleTree by Hilton brand to Pakistan’s capital.

A landmark agreement for Hilton

Currently planned for debut in 2025, DoubleTree by Hilton Islamabad West will make up part of a mixed-use scheme featuring new residential apartments as well as healthcare, education, commercial and recreational facilities.

“This is a landmark agreement for Hilton that signals our re-entry to the Pakistan market,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development in the Middle East and Africa for Hilton. “We are doing so as part of a groundbreaking development in the country’s business capital and one which will offer unparalleled convenience for travellers to the New Islamabad International Airport, which is ultimately expected to handle around 25 million passengers on an annual basis.”

“We aim to blend the comfort of suburban living with the convenience of city life, offering our customers an unrivalled lifestyle and the very best in modern amenities and services,” added Muhammad Sadiq, CEO of Dhabi Hospitality. “We are proud to be bringing the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to Pakistan as part of this project and are excited to complement our offering with its world-renowned upscale hospitality and service.”

What Hilton customers can expect in Islamabad

Altogether, the hotel will house 167 guestrooms, including ten suites. Visitors will have access to four restaurants in total, including a rooftop pool café, plus onsite fitness facilities.

The new hotel will be located to the west of central Islamabad on Srinagar Highway, which links the city with New Islamabad International Airport. Providing optimum convenience, the hotel will be just 4 km from the airport, and come equipped with extensive event facilities, not least three state-of-the-art meeting rooms and a 518 sq m ballroom.

The DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio currently consists of more than 600 upscale hotels across 48 countries.
