Designed by HAL Architects, Hilton Worldwide’s forthcoming scheme will help Queensland’s state capital cement its status as one of Australia’s most vibrant and dynamic cities.

Guests of this stylish hotel can expect to find upscale accommodation alongside an attractive range of amenities, including a restaurant and bar.

A growing footprint

Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of an agreement to manage the 129-room Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North. The ambitious project will be realised in partnership with Spring Hill Property Group, part of Image Developments.

Expected to open in early 2024, with construction starting this year, it becomes the fifth Hilton Garden Inn hotel in the brand’s pipeline for the Australasia region.

Guy Phillips, senior vice president, development, Asia and Australasia, Hilton, said: “We are actively seeking to introduce more of our award-winning brands to Queensland and are delighted to be partnering with Spring Hill Property Group to welcome the Hilton Garden Inn brand in Brisbane, which will mark our fifth hotel in Queensland and our second in Brisbane; a fantastic addition to Hilton Brisbane on Elizabeth Street.

“The signing of Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North builds on our recent announcement of Hilton Garden Inn Sydney Kingswood in late 2021 and is testament to our commitment to our organic growth strategy, which sees us bring the right brands to the right locations at the right time.”

A strategic location

The hotel will be situated north of Brisbane’s central business district, within walking distance of city centre attractions and Fortitude Valley, and 13 km from Brisbane Airport. Nearby sites include Howard Smith Wharves and Eagle Street Pier.

HAL Architects is behind the property’s design, which on completion will offer guests 129 upscale and affordable rooms, a full-service restaurant and bar, meeting space, a fitness room and 24-hour shop.

Rupert Yang, director of Spring Hill Property Group and Image Developments, said: “We are delighted to partner with Hilton on this project that will bring their Hilton Garden Inn brand to an east coast CBD location for the first time.

“Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North will contribute to Brisbane’s growth as a vibrant, dynamic city, which already benefits from significant intrastate and interstate leisure and business travel. As proud Australian developers who have been active in South East Queensland for 15 years, we look forward to the continued transformation of the city as it plans to welcome back international visitors and prepares for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
