Hilton Garden Inn opens in Miraflores neighbourhood of Lima

Hilton has heightened its presence in Peru with the opening of this new property in the country’s capital city.

The group’s ninth hotel in Peru, as well as the fifth in Lima, this opening is to be followed later in the year by the milestone debut of Hilton’s 10th hotel in the country.

Driving growth across Peru

Together, the debut of Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores and forthcoming opening of Hampton by Hilton Arequipa will add to the group’s continued growth across Peru.

The group has around 10 more hotels in the pipeline for Lima, Tarapoto and Ica among other destinations across the country, with new brands including Homewood Suites by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton to debut in Lima.

“Hilton is seizing the opportunity for growth in Peru,” said Pablo Maturana, managing director, development, Caribbean and South America, Hilton. “With three properties joining our portfolio and celebrating our 10th hotel milestone later this year, we are excited about the future of our presence in the country.”

“In approximately five years, Hilton plans to have doubled its presence in Peru by adding an additional 10 hotels spanning Hilton’s portfolio of industry-leading brands. With great brands in great destinations, we are perfectly poised to cater to the diverse needs of travellers while also demonstrating Hilton’s solid capabilities for owners.”

Local inspiration

The new Hilton Garden Inn hotel is located in the city’s upscale Miraflores district, amid an array of dining, shopping and entertainment options. The 235-key property also provides easy access to Playa Waikiki and Kennedy Park.

The hotel is designed according to Hilton Garden Inn’s region-specific design prototype with a lobby and public areas incorporating local materials and a colour palette that’s inspired by the destination. This inspiration continues in the rooms and suites, as well as on the exterior, which features the city’s tallest mural.

Fitting in with this decor, the hotel’s dining programme highlights local flavours at its signature restaurant, The Garden Grille. Completing the experience, facilities within the hotel include an 18th-floor rooftop pool and bar, 24-hour fitness centre, lobby bar and 24-hour shop. Events are hosted in 400 sq m of event space including eight meeting rooms.

Adding to its convenience, the hotel is pet-friendly and guests have access to free parking.
