For folks who travel frequently, the Hilton-Lyft partnership is certainly one to look forward to. Apart from being straightforward, it stands to yield major benefits for those who use it.
The hotel giant and its ridesharing partner will soon link loyalty programs to enable Lyft passengers to earn Hilton Honors points with every ride.
Later this year, those same points will be redeemable on Lyft rides though the value ratio is still unclear.
A growing wave of hospitality partnerships
Hilton and Lyft are far from the only companies in the hospitality space working together to make their loyalty programs more valuable.
Another recently announced collaboration between Alaska Airlines and El Al will allow customers of both airlines to earn points for a shared accrual on both.
This partnership comes following an extensive codeshare agreement between the two carriers, too.
Finally, the partnership which American Airlines and Hyatt Hotels forged earlier this year — one which will allow elite members to share benefits and earn points across brands — is now officially live.
