HDE joins hands with quality exhibitors to promote diversified development of hotel industry
In 2018, HOTELEX-organized by UBM Sinoexpo will evolve into two separated exhibitions. Former sectors like appliances & amenities and Textiles & Uniforms will be transferred into Shanghai Hospitality Design & Supplies Expo (HDE) that pools together other resources in such fields as hotel buildings, engineering, design, lighting, and furniture. The upgraded HDE will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center on April 26-29, 2018.
To further improve its quality and expand its scale, HOTELEX will be divided into two separated exhibitions in 2018: One is Hotelex 2018 showcasing food and caterings in March 26-29 and the other one is Shanghai Hospitality Design & Supplies Expo (HDE) showcasing hotel supplies and design materials on April 26-29. In a way, HDE is a new hotel show in China.
With over 80,000 exhibition space, HDE will become the biggest hotel show in China. HDE with the other concurrent shows together formed a 200,000sqm HOTEL PLUS mega show in April providing visitors a one-stop sourcing platform in the hotel and commercial industry.
HDE is striving to serve the diversified development of hotel industry
In the past few years, China remained a sizzling and popular destination for investment in the hotel business in the Asia Pacific region. The number of international hotel brands in China is on the rise year by year. In the first half of 2017, China signed 200 contracts on new hotels, 40% up from the same period last year. However, affected by unfavorable factors in recent years like slowdown of the domestic economy and regulatory shakeups in real estate sector, the hotel industry also managed to offset the impact inflicted by sluggish momentum, restructuring, and shift of growth engines in the market environment through transformation and innovation. In 2017, sharing economy and digital intelligence will reshape the hotel experience. As a result, hotel and lifestyle brands will start their cross-industry cooperation and fewer premium hotels will pay more attention to good designs to attract travelers. These will become the mainstream and new trend of the hotel industry in the future.
