Hard Rock Hotels comes to Ireland with a stunning property dedicated to the country’s music legends and decked out by local artists.

Hard Rock taps into Ireland’s rich musical and cultural history with its inaugural offering in Dublin.

Located on the edge of the city’s famous Temple Bar area, the new Hard Rock Hotel boasts memorabilia from some of Ireland’s most famous musicians, as well as a stellar collection of artworks by local artists.

We find out more.

A rockin’ new hotel in Dublin

Ireland has always had a reputation for producing some of the most well-loved rock musicians of our time.

U2, Thin Lizzy and Sinead O’Connor are all icons of Ireland, and now they and their memorabilia have been immortalised in a new landmark property by Hard Rock Hotels in Dublin.

Located in the heart of the city centre, right opposite City Hall and at the edge of the buzzing Temple Bar neighbourhood, Dublin’s Hard Rock Hotel boasts 120 rooms in a heritage property.

The building has been overhauled by local design firm Douglas Wallace in collaboration with hospitality architects Consarc, who connected the listed Exchange Building with the adjacent Fashion House building via a glazed walkway.

As expected, the result is bombastic, with blasts of colour clashing with opulent furnishings and materials, as well as high-tech elements such as a moving image ceiling in the reception.

A feast for the senses

Art, memorabilia and, of course, music, adorn the walls of this new Dublin offering.

From the bathrooms of the Zampas restaurant, which feature unique collages by local artist Sorcha O’Higgins, to the guest rooms, where large scale works by street art-inspired painter Duda and contemporary artist Leah Hewson sit alongside smaller works by Laura Buchanan, and the lobby, where guests can marvel at a huge Celtic knot made from book bindings by Neill Powell, the property is awash with eye-catching visual art.

The artwork collection was put together by US curators Kalisher, and they did not miss a beat.

Not to mention the audio experience the Hard Rock is known for. Music lovers can indulge in The Sound of Your Stay program, which involves a Crosley record player or Fender electric guitar being delivered to your room so you can rock out with Kurt Cobain’s jumper in the background.

Memorabilia, experiences and amenities

The Hard Rock Hotel Dublin benefits from a prime location right in the city centre, and as such is within a stone’s throw of some of Dublin’s highlights, like Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse and Christchurch cathedral, as well as the pubs and live music venues of nearby Temple Bar.

The Zampas restaurant serves up South American fare, and the Hard Rock shop gives people the chance to take a piece of Ireland’s rock history home with them. Signature pieces of memorabilia include David Bowie’s orange jumpsuit and an original equipment case from an early U2 tour.

Enda O’Meara, CEO of the Tifco Hotel Group, the company behind the hotel, says, “We are greatly looking forward to the opening of Hard Rock Hotel Dublin. Our aim is to match the energy of this vibrant city through our world-class service offered by the people who truly make up the fabric of the hotel, and who will work passionately to deliver the best guest experience.”
