Florida-based hospitality company Hard Rock International has hailed the launch of its second Chinese hotel, a 210-key property in the coastal city of Dalian.

A new Hard Rock Hotels property has opened in the popular tourist destination of Dalian. We find out if this follow-up to 2017’s Hard Rock Hotel Shenzhen lives up to the hype.

Rocking out in Dalian

Hard Rock International has teamed up with Luneng Group to open a 210-key property within the Golden Pebble Beach Tourist Resort in Liaoning close to the Yellow Sea in north-east China. Hard Rock Hotel Dalian features signature all-day dining restaurant Sessions, lobby bar GMT +8, elegant banquet halls and multifunctional conference rooms.

Dale Hipsh, senior vice president of Hard Rock Hotels said: “Rooted in our musically inspired culture, Hard Rock Hotel Dalian provides signature hospitality, luxury accommodations, and unforgettable dining and entertainment, against the backdrop of scenic Golden Pebble Beach. We could not accomplish this remarkable experience without the tremendous support of Luneng Group, and the Hard Rock Hotel Dalian team led by general manager David Cuddon, that worked tirelessly to achieve this opening during an unprecedented time in history.”

A modern icon

Visitors to the new Hard Rock Hotel in Dalian won’t have a hard time finding it, as the frontage is decked out with the brand’s signature guitar sculpture on the beach. The launch was marked with a thumping performance by a Hard Rock Band, and various local officials and dignitaries gathered to watch the opening ceremony.

Boasting 210 keys, divided into guest rooms and suites, Hard Rock Hotel Dalian is idyllically situated along the beach so guests can enjoy uninterrupted views out over the sand and sea. It’s also conveniently located close to Discoveryland Theme Park and Luneng Meilihui Commercial Complex.

As is typical of Hard Rock properties, guests can avail themselves of many in-suite amenities to live out their rock-star dreams – the signature Sound of Your Stay programme delivers Fender guitars and record players straight to their rooms, while Rock Om fuses yoga and music in calming or rejuvenating in-room yoga sessions. Famously, this world-famous brand was founded by two Americans in London, but Hard Rock Hotel Dalian will serve up sounds from local Chinese artists as well as international stars.
