Dominvs Group is on course to complete a new Hampton by Hilton hotel development in the UK capital in July 2023 after managing to avoid any pandemic-related delays.

Property developer and investment group Dominvs Group has announced the completion of the latest stage of this flagship scheme close to London’s Old Spitalfields Market.

Transforming an existing site

When finished in July 2023, this project in the Aldgate area will add another contemporary hotel to Dominvs’ growing portfolio. Hampton by Hilton London City will pay tribute to the hotel’s historic location, while its location will allow easy access to Shoreditch and the financial district.

The scheme is taking over a 1960s building that was formerly home to the four-star Arbor City Hotel at 12-20 Osborn Street by Brick Lane.

Dominvs Group acquired this building in October 2018 and promptly obtained planning permission for a new hotel scheme. Construction of the hotel, which will be operated by Hampton by Hilton, is being undertaken by McAleer and Rushe.

Ambitious development plans

This scheme, which has suffered no delays during the pandemic, will encompass the refurbished and rebranded hotel, and a newbuild extension on the adjacent car park. It’ll house 278 guestrooms along with dining space, a cinema room and events space including a large function room.

Jay Ahluwalia, director of Dominvs Group, said: “We are thrilled with the continued momentum of this project. The fact that we have gone from strength to strength over the past year is a testament to the strength of our core business and relationships with partners.”
