A further nine openings are scheduled for 2022, while seven properties have been pencilled in for 2023, and another 13 are on the cards for 2024 and beyond.

Dusit’s growth plans in detail

The Bangkok-headquartered hospitality group’s home region, APAC, is currently the main focus of its expansion efforts – 38 projects with 8,810 rooms are in the works here.

Elsewhere, the Middle East has five hotels, while Africa and Europe each have one scheme apiece.

Eye-catching schemes in Dusit’s pipeline

Scheduled to open in Q2 2022, Dusit Thani Hot Springs and Wellness Resort Fuzhou by Zhengheng Group – Guian will offer 250 rooms and villas, many featuring private hot springs pools set against a tranquil and picturesque landscape. The resort is located 50 minutes from Fuzhou’s Changle International Airport and 30 minutes by car from both Fuzhou High Speed Train Station and the CBD. Dining options will include an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant with private dining rooms and a lobby lounge, while the expansive function rooms will feature the latest AV equipment.

The 160-key dusitD2 Residence Cebu City, meanwhile, will be situated within Grand Land’s multi-tower condominium development Grand Residences Cebu. A separate entrance and lobby will lead guests to the serviced residences; notable facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a gym, a pool and meeting rooms. The opening date has been set for Q2 2021.

Last but not least, and 2,000 metres up Oman’s highest mountain range just five minutes from the Grand Canyon of the Middle East, dusitD2 Jebel Akhdar promises to offer guests a memorable break in spectacular surroundings. Thrillseekers will love the adjacent 8,000 sq m adventure park as well. Its 253 modern rooms will offer stunning views and the onsite restaurant will serve up authentic and delicious Arabic, Thai and international cuisine; a pool and spa complete the offering. The opening of Oman Investment Fund’s project is planned for Q2 2021.
