The property is set to open in 2023, marking the brand’s return to Adelaide, Australia.
CES Pirie Hotel (SA) Pty Ltd. is a business entity wholly owned by Chip Eng Seng Corporation Limited.
Coming from this deal will be a new 295-room hotel, and its opening will mark the return of a Hyatt-branded hotel to the city of Adelaide. Of course, this also advances Hyatt’s continued expansion in the Australian market.
Construction on the new hotel is expected to start early next year, with the Hyatt Regency Adelaide projected to open in early 2023.
The Hyatt Regency brand
The Hyatt Regency brand is a unique one, offering a prime environment for all hospitality needs, from event-hosting to leisure visits and business travel.
The brand’s central theme is the creation of a stress-free environment, one wherein guests can be both productive and energized.
Guests of Hyatt Regency properties also enjoy intuitive service as well as great food and beverage options with flexible spaces ideal for a wide array of uses.
“We are grateful to work with CES Pirie Hotel on the opening of the new Hyatt Regency Adelaide and are excited to bring the Hyatt Regency brand, which has a strong legacy and following, back to this vibrant city,” said David Udell, group president, Asia Pacific, Hyatt.
“Located in Adelaide’s city center, the hotel will provide guests with the tools to stay connected and benefit from the hotel’s intuitive and personalized service.”
The Hyatt Regency Adelaide
The Hyatt Regency Adelaide will be on Pirie Street, right in the heart of the city’s central business district.
This fantastic location will give visitors unparalleled access to both corporate and government offices, as well as shopping and dining venues.
Once completed, the new hotel will have more than 8,000 square feet of event space, a Market Café, a Regency Club, swimming pool, fitness facilities and a rooftop bar.
“The development of the new Hyatt Regency Adelaide will mark an important re-entry into Adelaide for the brand and also fill a key gap in Hyatt’s domestic Australian network,” said Monika Dubaj, vice president real estate and development, Asia-Pacific, Hyatt.
“The hotel is part of our strategy to provide more offerings to travellers as we expand in Australia, with new destinations such as Adelaide and Brisbane that will complement our current portfolio of seven hotels in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra.”
