Gran Meliá brand to enter Dubai

Meliá Hotels International is to debut its Gran Meliá brand in Dubai, UAE through a signing with Albwardy Investment.

Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah will be located in Port de La Mer, a new luxury destination in the Jumeirah One Beach area, when it opens in Q4 2025.

Mediterranean luxury design

Built directly on the seafront next to a white sand beach the urban resort will include all the attributes that leisure travellers expect to find as well as being close to the Dubai International Finance Centre to make it attractive for the corporate and events segment

The hotel’s architecture and landscape were created by MOMA, desertINK and Lagranja, with the aspiration of becoming the definition of Mediterranean luxury and ‘good living’.

Opulent infrastructure

Located on one of Port de la Mer’s peninsulas, Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah will feature 380 luxurious rooms and suites with ocean and city skyline views. The complex will also have direct marina access, event facilities to host up to 1,000 people and wellness and fitness facilities endorsed by first-class international partners.

Regarding gastronomy, the hotel aims to be a reference in the city, inviting diners to enjoy a selection of the best experiences and brands in the world, with iconic restaurants and bars.

Future openings

Meliá’s collaboration with Albwardy already encompasses seven other global properties, and the partnership is preparing a future opening in Seychelles, among others.

The Gran Meliá brand is present in 10 countries, with 17 hotels currently operating and seven more in the pipeline including the imminently opening Palazzo Cordusio Gran Meliá, bringing 84 rooms to Milan, Italy; The Miranda de Pedralbes, a Gran Meliá Hotel, a 391 key-site heading to Barcelona, Spain in Q1 2024; and the 125-room Gran Meliá Tirana, arriving in the Albanian capital in 2025.
