Following a two-year construction period, Copenhagen’s Alchemist restaurant has opened its solid bronze door, inviting guests to embark upon a journey that will explore the world of the senses. And Geberit AquaClean forms part of this journey.
Alchemist’s centrepiece is its gigantic roof construction, which comprises 200 metric tonnes of steel. An 18-metre-high dome is illuminated by 12 projectors and reveals various scenes such as the Northern Lights or the majestic jellyfish that float through the ocean.
An ever-changing array of impressions
During the dining experience, guests move from room to room, entering different spheres. Yet the heart of the restaurant is of course the food – even if this might not be quite as you’re expecting. The dishes are comprised of 50 ‘impressions’ and offer commentaries on sociopolitical issues such as food waste and environmental pollution.
A visit to the toilets at Alchemist is also a spectacle for the senses – in particular, the sense of wellbeing – as the bathrooms feature shower toilets from Geberit. The restaurant has eight AquaClean Mera Comfort systems, each of which are equipped with touchless Sigma80 actuator plates.
