Opening in 2027 at the entrance to Jim Corbett National Park, the property joins IHG’s 53 hotels in India and a pipeline of 110 more

Garner Hotel Jim Corbett has been signed in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, the town at the entrance to Jim Corbett National Park. The hotel will have 50 rooms and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2027. It will sit on about three acres. Victorian Corporation will own the property, and United Hospitality Management (UHM) India will manage it.

Ramnagar has road links to several cities across North India, and visitors come to the area throughout the year. IHG Hotels & Resorts says rising domestic travel is creating demand for branded hotels outside the large metro areas. The company describes the hotel as a place for dependable comfort and convenience, with a design that reflects its surroundings. A detailed list of facilities has not been released.

About the Brand

Garner is IHG’s newest midscale brand, launched in 2023. It has since reached 100 open hotels worldwide, which the company says makes it the fastest-growing brand in its history. The brand centers on a convenient location, a sound night’s sleep, and a good breakfast. It is also built for conversions, meaning existing hotels can join without starting from scratch.

Garner hotels use IHG’s quality standards, enterprise systems, and rewards program. Sudeep Jain, IHG’s Managing Director for Southwest Asia, said the brand’s momentum in India reflects “the strong fit between the brand’s proposition and the needs of both owners and travelers.” He added that this is showing up as growing owner confidence and a stronger development pipeline. The Jim Corbett signing adds to that list.

Presence in India

IHG currently operates 53 hotels in India across 7 brands. They are Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Vignette Collection, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort, and Holiday Inn Express. The company has another 110 hotels in its pipeline, due to open over the next three to five years. India is one of its priority markets worldwide. Garner is meant to broaden its reach in leisure destinations, emerging commercial centers, and fast-growing secondary cities.

The owner and operator also shared their reasons for the project. Deepika Arora, Managing Director of UHM India, said the partnership pairs UHM’s local operating knowledge with IHG’s brands, systems, and distribution. UHM is expanding across India, including in leisure and emerging markets. Parveen Saraswat, a director at Victorian Corporation, said Jim Corbett is growing as a year-round wildlife and leisure destination with more demand for reliable rooms. He said Garner’s price point and IHG’s distribution platform made the brand the right fit for the project.
