Foster + Partners has been tapped to design the upcoming TEMPO Hotel and Residences on Brazil’s southern coast.

The property will be located in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina and has been designed to capture the best views of Praia Brava beach.

The project is being developed by MUZE real estate development group.

A landscaped garden will act as the centrepiece of the development, with natural trails, pavilions, water features and pools all incorporated.

The hotel will also include a private drop-off area, which connects to the hotel lobby and restaurant with a sunken outdoor seating area.

There will also be a rooftop infinity pool, which wraps around the deck and provides 360 views of the surrounding water and mountains.

Each suite will contain a private terrace, and residential apartments will be comprised of single whole-floor residences contained on a single level.

The development features a refined palette of high-quality materials, such as concrete and timber, which reflect the warmth of the natural environment.

David Summerfield, Head of Studio, Foster + Partners, said: “The TEMPO hotel and residences capture the spirit of this vibrant coastal location. Nature is woven through every part of the development, which will take residents and guests on a truly spectacular journey from the beach to their whole-floor residences and private suites.”

Juan Frigerio, Partner, Foster + Partners, added: “Every element of our scheme has been carefully designed to establish new connections with the spectacular surroundings while providing the highest level of comfort and luxury. TEMPO will be a new global destination that offers an entirely unique oceanfront experience.”
